Sally Hansen Black Diamond,NYX Asphalt and Essie Matte About You.

Good morning! Well, I hope you are having a good morning, considering that it is Mon. ;-) We are supposed to have awful weather over the next two days. Today we're supposed to have a bad ice storm, and tomorrow we are supposed to have a foot and a half of snow. Good times. I really, really hate to get out when it's icy. I'm going to head to the store in a bit to stock up, so hopefully I won't have to get out much in the bad weather.

I recently bought Sally Hansen Black Diamond at CVS for 75% off. Couldn't pass up such a great deal! :-) It's a very pretty black base with crystal colored shimmer. It also has some very fine pink and green glitter through out. I am surprised by how much I like this color. I thought it was just another black until I looked closer at it. I might have to go grab another bottle while it's still on sale. It applied very well, and I used two coats of it.

I accented my ring and thumb nails with one coat of NYX Asphalt. Asphalt is a black jelly base with fine multi colored glitter. It has red, green, silver and gold glitter. It's a pretty unique polish. I don't think I've ever seen one like it. I decided to top it off with Essie Matte About you. I LOVE this look. I think I'm going to have to do a full mani. with it soon.

First, here are a couple of pics. of the finished product. ;-)

Which version do you like best? I really like the NYX matted. :-) I hope you all have a happy Mon. and stay warm if it's supposed to be cold like it is here!

LA Splash Pretty Jellyfish

How are you all doing today? Enjoying your Sat? I have had a very lazy day. I've pretty much done nothing, but read, run to the store and change my mani. I love days where I don't have to do anything. :-)

Today I have on an LA Splash polish, that I picked up last summer at Ulta. I completely forgot I even had it. It's called Pretty Jellyfish, and it's a pinkish lavender base with silver, dark purple and violet glitter in it. I had to use five coats, to get it to look like it does in the bottle, but being a glitter it dried very fast. It didn't take any longer to dry than when I do two coats with a reg. polish, so it was fine. It's really a pretty color. :-) LA Splash has quite a few unique colors. Especially glitters. I think I have five of them, but hope to get more soon.

You def. want to click on these to see this color better. :-)

Do you have any LA Splash polishes? I'm really interested in finding more swatches of them. I haven't been able to find many. If you know where I can see more, I'd love to know. :-)

Zoya Dannii

Today, I have the second of the three Zoyas that I got from the new Intimate collection for Spring. This one is called Dannii. Unlike yesterday's mani. I LOVE this one. :-) I do have to say though, that after posting yesterday's blog Gemma did start to grow on me, so we'll see. Maybe I'll end up keeping it after all. ;-)

Dannii is a very pretty medium purple with gold shimmer, and I think I might even see a bit of pink shimmer through out. This is a ONE coater! I can't remember when I last used one coat of polish, but it was great! :-) Application was smooth, and over all this polish is wonderful.

Thanks for looking, and have a great day! :-)

Zoya Gemma and Pure Ice Tease

Hey everyone!!! Wow, it's been awhile. It feels like forever. I'm back....kinda. I have a temp. fix to my camera, but am going to have to send it off for a couple of weeks, to get fixed. :-( I plan on swatching/taking pics. as much as I can before I send it off. That way I'll still have plenty to blog about while my camera is gone. I def. have plenty of polishes to swatch. I have a CRAZY amount of new polish. Soo....how have you all been? Good, I hope. :-)

I'm sure most of you already know, but Zoya has a new collection out. The Intimate collection for Spring. I bought three of the colors. Gemma,Jules and Dannii. I have Gemma to show you today. I absolutely fell in love with this polish after seeing a few other bloggers post pics. of it. It's an army jacket green with purple shimmer. I couldn't wait to get it on my nails.

Have you ever fallen in love with a polish you just had to have? Only to get it home, and be majorly disappointed with it? Well, I'm sorry to say, but this is Gemma for me. I was expecting a nice greenish color with a really pretty purple glow. Instead, I got what looks like I dipped my nails in pea soup with hardly and purple glow. :-( It was also a bit thick and goopey which is very unusual for a Zoya polish. Now I know I'm in the minority here, as most people seem to love this polish. I did too, from others pics. Unfortunately it's just not working for me. This one will be going in my swap/sell bin.

I used two coats of Gemma, and ended up putting a coat of Pure Ice Tease on top. I like it much better with the PI. PI Tease is a magenta base with purple glitter.

First up is Gemma.

With Pure Ice Tease over it.

So, what do you think of Gemma?

I have TONS of new polishes to show you. I really appreciate you guys being patient with me. :-) Thanks! I'll be back in action soon.

New Ruby Kisses Red/Silver Glitter

Today I have a fairly new to me brand to show you. We have a beauty shop here in town that sells a bit of everything. I decided to check it out to see what kind of polish they had. I found Ruby Kisses and picked up a few. They had rows and rows of them, so I'm sure I'll end up back there eventually. They are cheap too! Only $1.49 a bottle. Can't really beat that. I got five of them. The first one to I have to show you is a red jelly base with red and silver glitter. It doesn't have a name on it, so I have no idea what it's called. I tried to look it up online, but couldn't find it. If anyone has any idea what it' called let me know. :-) I was very impressed with this polish. It applied very well and I used two coats. It dried fast too, which is always a plus for me.

Do you have any Ruby Kisses polishes? If so, what do you think of them? I'll have to check, but I don't think any of the ones I got have names on them. I'm interested to know if any of them have names.

Well, I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! :-)

OPI Katy Perry-Not Like The Movies

I've been waiting for this collection to come out forever, it seems. I finally found them at Dillard's of all places. I bought three of the five. Today I have on Not Like The Movies, which is a gorgeous color! Not only is a duochrome, it has glitter too! I don't think I've ever seen a duochrome and a glitter together. I'm loving this polish. I think it's my fav. from the collection. It's a gray base with silver glitter and lilac and green flashes through out.

Thanks for looking, and I hope you are all having a great Thurs. :-)

Hello Kitty Polish!

What a day it's been. I woke up with a terrible headache that I still have some eight hours later. Ugh. The weather was bad. Lots of snow, ice etc...and I had to drive to the airport this afternoon which is an hour away. On top of all that, I was a nervous wreck waiting for the vet to call with my two cats blood test results. Thank goodness it all turned out okay. Got to the airport and back fine, and the vet called, and my cat are both good. Still have the headache, but I can deal with that. I probably gave it to myself worrying so much. Anyway, I decided to cheer myself up a bit with a pretty, sparkly mani. some polish shopping, and some yummy Italian food from my fav. restaurant.

A couple of weeks ago, I got an email from Sephora, saying they were having a private sale for the Beauty Insiders. The sale was for the new Hello Kitty for Sephora line. I got two of the eight of the polishes. The bottles are just TOO cute! :-) I love them!

The two I got are Purple Sprinkles and Pink Sprinkles.

Today, I used Purple Sprinkles. I used Revlon Not So Blueberry as a base color. Purple Sprinkles can def. be worn on it's own, but might take three coats. The Hello Kitty bottles are kind of small so that's why I used Not So Blueberry first. I wanted to use the least amount of PS a I could so that I don't run out of soon.

I'll start with Revlon Not So Blueberry. It's one of the scented polishes. It smells like blueberries. Bet you couldn't have guessed that, huh? ;-) I actually really love the scent! I can still smell it even with the HK polish over top and with my top coat on. Application was fine, but for some reason Revlon polishes seem to bubble on me. I have no idea why, but this has happened with several lately. NSBB is a really pretty polish. It's a sparkly lavender color. I used two coats.

I then topped it off with Hello Kitty Purple Sprinkles. PS has small and medium teal and pink glitter in a purple base.

Well, I'm off to try to get rid of this headache. I hope you are all having a good night! :-)
