Cosmo. Wild Thing,New York Summer Glitter, and Kitty Update!

Happy Wed! First of all, I want to think all of you who sent good wishes for my Morris cat. They worked! :-) We got good news Mon. at the vet. He had no signs of heart disease, and the slight murmur he has, is a benign condition. He really needs to have a tooth out, as it has a hole in it. It's red and swollen, and most likely causing him some pain. Since his Cardiac exam was so good, the vet said he is at no more risk than a normal cat. So tomorrow morning, he will be having his dental, with a tooth removal. Even though we got the good news, and the go ahead, I'm still a little nervous. I always am when one of my pets has to be under. Hopefully everything will go just fine. I'm sure he will not be a very happy cat, until he's home and comfy. ;-)

Today, for pink Wed. I have on a polish from Cosmopolitan magazine. It was free polish, I got for sending some kind of a text message. I had heard about it on MUA so I tried it, forgot about it, and got it the other day. A couple months later. It's actually a pretty nice polish. It's called Wild Thing, and it's a very hot pink color. The formula was a bit think, but nothing too awful. It was free, so I'm not complaining. ;-) I used two coats, and this is one bright color! It was so bright it was hard to get great pics. but they are pretty close to accurate.

I added a coat of New York Summer Vegas Silver to it. VS has small silver glitter pieces and holo bar glitter. I'm not always a fan of bar glitter, but I quite like this one, a lot.

First up, are pics. of the finished mani. (you might want to click on the pics. to see the glitter much better)

Here is Wild Thing on it's own.

Thanks for looking, and if you could send good thoughts/wishes/prayers etc...to my Morris cat that things go really well for him tomorrow, we'd really appreciate it! :-) I'll update tomorrow after he's home.

Orly Rock Solid and my kitty.

Happy, happy Monday! Ha, Ha! I know. ;-) I'm kinda nervous right now. I have to take my cat to see a kitty cardiologist. He has a slight heart murmur, and has had for about five years. It's mild and hasn't changed, which is great. However, he needs to have a dental, and a tooth removed. :-( Well, to make sure he's okay with being put under for the surgery, because of the heart murmur, I'm taking him to have an ultrasound this morning. Just to make sure. I'm nervous though. He's my baby, and he's 13 years old. He's in great health, and people (even the vets)can't believe he's 13. He just had his yearly with blood work etc...and everything came back great. So I'm hoping for the best.

Over the weekend, I wore another one of the new Orly polishes. From the Mineral FX collection. It's called Rock Solid, and it's a dark gray, almost black. It has lots of fine holographic glitter in it. It's crazy sparkly! I love it! :-) I had no problems with application, and I used two coats.

You def. want to click on these, for a much better look. ;-)

I put this mani. on Sat. morning, and was starting to have a little bit of tip wear. So last night I jazzed it up a bit, instead of changing my mani. altogether. I added a coat of New York Summer Vegas Silver, which has lots of silver glitter and holo bar glitter.

The next couple of pics. aren't the best, as it was getting kinda dark when I took them. Also, try to ignore the nice drop of red polish on my first nail. I was swatching on nail wheels on and off all day yesterday. I manged to get some on my nail, of course. lol!

Matted with Essie Matte About You.

Here is a pic. of my Morris cat. :-)

Wish us luck for good news! :-)

Orly Emberstone and Kleancolor Chunky Holo Poppy.

Good morning! How is your weekend going? I was FINALLY able to get some sleep! It was so nice not waking up at 7am to men pounding on the roof. :-) I started working on a huge nail polish purge last night. I will be working on it quite a bit today. It was finally time. I'm weeding out the dupes, and colors I just won't wear. Once I'm done, I will be having my first blog sale! It won't be for a couple of weeks though. I have a lot of polish to go through and swatch. I've only just made it through my reds, and that took a couple of hours! Seriously!

Today I have Orly Emberstone to show you. It's from the new Orly Mineral FX collection. It should be hitting Sally's soon, if not already. I believe the release date is Sept. 1 but some stores already have them out.

Emberstone is a gorgeous firey red/orange. It has pink and gold flecks in it too! Application was great, and I used two coats.

I decided to see what it would like, with Kleancolor Chunky Holo Poppy on top. It reminds me of goldfish! ;-)

I of course, had to try it matte and used Essie Matte About You.

Thanks for looking, and I hope you have a great Sunday! :-) I'm off to go purge and swatch polish. ;-)

Revlon Royal Cloak

Good morning! Yay for it being Sat. but boo for me being up already! LOL! They are STILL working on our roof, and started in bright and early, at 7am. Hopefully they will be done today. I'm ready for some quiet! We are finally having cooler weather now, so maybe I'll find something to do outside today. Last night it felt like fall. I'm so ready for the fall. It's my absolute fav. time of year. I love everything about it. The food, smells, colors, weather,Halloween etc....Speaking of fall, I have a new Revlon polish to show you. It's from one of their fall collections. They have three new collections out right now! Crazy! This polish is from the Masquerade collection, which can be found at Walgreens. There are eight colors, but I only got this one. Can you believe it?! LOL! They all look like nice colors, but most are pretty dupeable (is that even a word?!)so I just grabbed Royal Cloak. RC is a medium purple with small flakies! Sometimes I have trouble with Revlon's formula, but I had none this time. It applied like a dream, and I used two coats.

Thanks for looking, and I hope you have a wonderful Saturday! :-)

Hare Polish Swatches....Bisbee,A Positive & Pegasus.

Good evening! It has once again, been a few days since I last posted. I'm sorry about that. :-( Things have been a little crazy around here. We're in the middle of having our roof done,a screened in porch built, the city is working on the streets in front of our house, and I've had a few vet appointments. There have been so many people in and around our house, not to mention the noise! I'm so ready for it to be over! I will be back to posting on a regular basis, hopefully now. I come with some awesome polish though! Three of them. A fellow MUA nail boarder, and blogger has set up a shop on etsy to sell her polish. They are really pretty and unique polishes. I love them! You can find her shop at: http://www.etsy.com/shop/HAREpolish She doesn't have anything for sale right now, but keep an eye out. When they are for sale, you have to be quick, as they sell out super fast! I def. recommend them though.

First up, here are a few bottle pics......they are super cute! L-R A Positive,Bisbee and Pegasus.

Look at all of that awesome hex glitter! :-)

Application was great with all three. I had no problems with any of them. I used two thick coats, and one thin.

Bisbee is a teal jelly base with lots of golden hex glitter.

Bisbee Matted

A Positive is a gorgeous, berry red based jelly, with tons of silver hex glitter.

A Positive Matted. (I used Essie Matte About You for all the Matte pics.)

Last, but def. not least is Pegasus. I have this one on today, and love it! Pegasus is a lilac base with lots o silver/white hex glitter.

Pegasus Matted

So....what do you think? Do you like them matted, or on their own the best? I have to say, I love them all both ways. LOL! I can't choose! There is still one polish that I don't have yet. It's a navy jelly with copper hex glitter, and I must have it! LOL! I'm hoping to snag one next time they are up. If you love hex glitter and jellies, you will love these! ;-)

Thanks so much for looking, and I hope you all have a great night! :-)

Maybelline Cool Couture for fall.

Happy Saturday! :-) I can't believe it's the weekend again! The past week kinda flew by for me. I'm sorry I haven't posted since Wed. So, do you have any fun plans for the weekend? I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing yet. I def. think I'm going to have a nice, long nap today. I tried to sleep in, but the city is working on our street. I guess they decided that it would be fun to start up at 6am on a Sat. morning! Ugh.

Today, I have one of the new Maybelline polishes from their fall collection to show you. Normally, I don't pick up Maybelline. For some reason the colors never excite me, but they really stepped it up on this collection. I got five of them! I found them at Bed Bath and Beyond, and they were $2.99 each.

The first one I'm going to show you, is called Cool Couture. It's a smoky gray cream with lots of blue shimmer! The blue shimmer makes this a pretty unique polish. I don't have anything like it. I have grays and blue shimmers. Just not together. Application was pretty good. It polish was a little runny, but the color is so nice, that I can def. overlook that part. I used two coats.

I def. recommend clicking on these pics. to get a good look at the blue shimmer. Especially the second pic. ;-)

Thanks for looking, and I hope you have a wonderful Sat! :-)

NYX Girls Maui Sunrise

It's Wed. which means hump day, and Pink Wed. :-) Well, I managed to get my cleaning done last night. I ended up procrastinating just a bit longer. ;-) It's done though! Today is a lazy day, and I might do a little shopping. It's FINALLY starting to cool down here. It actually feels like fall today. I love this kind of weather. I can def. do without the 115 degree days!

Today I have on a NYX Girls polish called Maui Sunrise. This is a gorgeous polish! I absolutely love it. I'm a sucker for pinks with gold shimmer, and that's what this is. It's a deep pinkish orange with lots of gold shimmer. It leans much more pink than orange. Application was great, and I used two coats. The difference between this pink with gold shimmer, and all the rest I've tried? This one is actually opaque in the two coats I used. It seems like all the others, I've tried always leave at least a little visible nail line. This does not, and I really like that. :-)

Click the pics. to see the great gold shimmer. ;-)

Thanks for reading, and have a happy Wed. :-)

Orly Sea Gurl and Pure Ice Heartbreaker

Good afternoon! How is your day going? I'm procrastinating big time today! I need to clean the house and do laundry, and so far I've done everything but either of those! LOL! I hate cleaning! Ugh. I suppose I'll start on it, when I'm finished with this. Today, I have the last of the Orly Birds of a Feather collection that I got. I didn't end up getting two of them. Peachy Parrot is just way to frosty for my liking. Lucky Duck is a really pretty green, but it's pretty close to OPI Jade is the new Black. I'm trying to stay away from getting to many dupes. Anyway, the last one I have to show you is Sea Gurl. It's a dark gray base with lots of silver shimmer. It dries to a bit of a metallic look. This color reminds me of pencil lead! LOL! Silly, but it does. I could have gotten away with one coat, but I had a bit of an issue with brush strokes, so I used two. It's a nice color, but it's my least fav. out of the four I got.

Sorry these pics. are the greatest. It was a rainy day when I took these, yesterday.

I decided to jazz it up a bit, by putting a coat of Pure Ice Heartbreaker on top. It gave it a pretty green shimmer.

Well, I guess I will go get started on the cleaning. Try not to be too jealous! LOL! ;-)
